HAYWARD EDWIN TOM Of Whitminster Died on Sunday 8th March 2015, on the island of LaPalma in the Canary Islands whilst on holiday, aged 63 years. Much loved Husband of Gill and Father of Richard, Charles and Peter, Grandfather to Harvey, Lily, Harry, Florence, Dory, Joshua and Nathan, Daughter-in-laws Ally and Fran. The Funeral Service will be at 11.15am at Whitminster Church and 1pm at Cheltenham Crematorium on Monday 30th March, Dark Clothes Please. Family flowers only by request, donations in lieu for the 'TT' Riders Association may be sent to Philip Ford & Son, Dirleton House, Cainscross Road, Stroud. GL5 4ES

Thanks for the reply, Ally. How could I forget Ed ... he was a Best Mate. Other members of the gang included Tim Knight and Clive McEvoy. I left school a year early to go into the army, and bumped into Clive at Aldershot in 1972; he was the only one of those guys I ever met again. Alan Horne, Jamie Rankin, Colin Harris, Julian Davies, Ian Brown ... I could probably name them all! G.

Hi Geoff, I do believe it is the same person as my father in law did attend stroud boys tech. How lovely of you to remember him after all these years it means a lot. Kind regards Ally

Please forgive the intrusion ... but I'm wondering if this could be the same Edwin Hayward who was my mate at Stroud Boys' Tech? Last seen 48 years ago. Either way; condolences and RIP. G.
