I knew Sheila firstly as a fellow Summer Street resident and later as a fellow community news writer and member of U3A Poetry Workshops that we both attended. I remember Sheila's lovely garden in Summer Street, her commitment to helping support local schemes such as the Summer Street Resident's Association and Stroud Garden Club to name but two. In later years, she promoted Lipreading Classes for the deaf. Rest in Peace, Sheila.
