Medics save hanging man

A HANGING man was saved from certain death by quick-thinking medics who just happened to spot him suspended from a cemetery tree.

He was snatched from the brink of death by off-duty nurses Colin Waller and girlfriend Karen Margetts, who released his neck from the noose and administered heart massage and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Incredibly, three doctors were also nearby and helped stabilise the 49-year-old Stroud man, who was rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
