A MAJOR retrospective exhibition of the work of the late Kay Wedgbury, of Nailsworth, is being held to raise money to support her surviving family.
Miss Wedgbury, who died in a tragic bicycle accident in Nailsworth in November last year, was a prolific and accomplished artist.
For many years she worked and taught at Ruskin Mill and handled a wide variety of techniques and of students.
She had a well-developed sense of artistic and environmental issues and the exhibition, which takes place at Ruskin Mill from September 16 to October 4, reflects the very particular way she managed to combine both in a series of stunning landscapes.
The exhibition is an attempt to show the many facets of a singluar personality as well as to raise funds for her family.
Paintings and sketches will be on sale and portfolios available to view.
Opening hours are 10am-5pm Monday to Sunday.
