Hardwicke trounced after Bayliss hat-trick

Hardwicke 1, Viney St Swithins 4

PAUL Bayliss scored a hat-trick as Viney St Swithins took full advantage of very windy conditions at Hardwicke last Saturday in the Gloucestershire County League.

Hardwicke played with the wind in the first-half and they took the lead when Dave Phillips' corner went straight into the net.

The home team were unable to extend their lead and went into the break with only one goal.

Viney themselves took advantage of the wind when they scored two goals in the opening ten minutes of the second-half.

Paul Symonds and Bayliss both scored with wind assisted cross and free-kick respectively.

The visitors now had their heads up and they extended their lead when Bayliss completed his hat-trick to make the score 4-1.

Hardwicke manager Mitch Fussell said: "We are paying the price for not sticking the ball in the net and for individual errors."
