Frog saved by warden

A STROUD traffic warden proved her profession has a heart when she rescued a frog from the wheels of a car.

She spotted the large amphibian under the vehicle in Lansdown on Thursday and asked another motorist to move his car, so the frog could be rescued from under the car behind it.

The traffic warden, who did not wish to be named, said the frog squealed when she picked it up but it would have been run over otherwise.

"I made sure he was alright and put him somewhere safe," she said.

"Someone asked me why I did it and I said I'm human, we all have a sensitive side."
