King helps Hardwicke lord it over Sports

Hardwicke 1, Pucklechurch Sports 0

HARDWICKE gained a welcome three points with a 1-0 victory over Pucklechurch Sports.

The hosts suffered a setback after only five minutes when keeper Derek John suffered damaged ribs in a collision with the visiting striker.

After a six minute delay John was helped off and defender Wesley Archer found himself wearing the keeper's shirt and straight away he dived low to block a goalbound effort.

Despite the reorganisation Hardwicke enjoyed plenty of possession with the midfield competing well with Paul Freeman adding a new dimension to the side.
