More nails are found on pitch

ANOTHER 43 lethal nails have been uncovered on the football pitch at Cashes Green playing field.

Last week the News & Journal reported how 11-year-old Slimbridge football player Christos Kyriacou fell on an upturned nail, sparking a search in which it was discovered that 28 nails had deliberately been hammered into the pitch with the sharp points facing upwards.

When Hucclecote Metal Detecting Club heard of the problem they offered to scan the field free of charge in a bid to make it safe for the sporting youngsters.
