Pianist seeks musicians

A FORLORN professional pianist has turned to the News & Journal for help in tracking down some friends to help him make music.

Rob James of Cotswold Mead, Painswick has been paid many compliments by admiring audiences but one question they all ask is - "Where's your accompaniment?".

Eager to recruit a violinist, a cellist, and possibly even a violist, Rob put the world around several months ago but so far has had no luck.

"I've had a lot of requests for ensemble work and it's become very obvious there's a real market for it," said Rob, 27.

He plays background music in hotels and has no doubt that his diary would be full if he could find the right men or women for the job.

"I'm looking for people who play professionally, or who could if they chose to," he added.

Anyone who may be able to help Rob complete a trio or a quartet can call his agent, Jenny Watson on 01453 835406
