Shuttle bus could be the answer

A SHUTTLE bus could go some way to easing the inconvenience of Stroud's travelling public if plans to close Merrywalks bus station go ahead.

"It's being considered along with the whole proposals for the interim or temporary bus station," said special projects officer Barry Wyatt.

"Nothing's been decided yet but if we do go ahead with it we will try to provide a shuttle bus."

Although he said the route had not been carved in stone it was likely to be a circular one taking passengers up Rowcroft Retreat to the Subscription Rooms then on to the railway station before returning to the bus bays in Merrywalks.
