THE demolition ball is once again swinging over Hill Paul amid fresh threats that it is likely to be reduced to rubble in the New Year.
Unless supporters and campaigners can come up with more that £1 million in the next six weeks the battle will be finally over.
Malcolm Bushell of Harper Homes which owns the site told the SNJ on Monday that he was already making plans to bring back the wrecking ball and said he was prepared to give the order when necessary.
He warned that if the struggling campaigners who have fought tirelessly to save the building did not find the cash by January 8 the former factory would be knocked down.
"It's on the back burner at the moment," he said. "Everything's gone very quiet - I gather they're trying to get things together but we've heard nothing for a while."
Mr Bushell said he had seen no evidence that the group was on the brink of securing a deal.
