Deadline looms for Hill Paul rescue

THE final countdown starts this week for the Hill Paul building.

There are now only days to go before the fate of the former clothing mill is sealed.

And supporters of the Stroud landmark are working frantically to come up with an offer which will save it from the wrecking ball.

They are hopeful that an offer of £1.1 million will secure its future, even though its owner, Harper Homes originally asked for £1.3 million.
