All's well again for hypothermia victim

FIREMEN were called out to rescue a young hypothermia victim who fell 14ft in to the stream near Club Splash in Stroud.

The 20-year-old toppled off a wall down in to the icy water and found she was unable to move in the cold conditions.

The fire crew lifted her to safety and transferred her to an ambulance which took her from the town's Merrywalks, to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

She was treated for suspected neck and lower back injuries and hypothermia after the accident, which happened just before midnight on Saturday, December 22.

She was released later the following day
