A YOUNG motorcyclist is on the lookout for somewhere to ride his bike undisturbed, because he does not want to upset walkers.
Trainee mechanic Craig Adams and his friends used to enjoy riding their off-road machines around some more remote parts of Randwick Woods.
But following complaints about bikes in that area, police appealed for the riders to stop.
Craig said that although they rode responsibly and slowed down to walking pace whenever pedestrians approached, they had heeded the constabulary's call.
But now they would like to meet a friendly farmer so they can get on with their hobby without getting on anyone's nerves.
"We apologise for that but the fact is we've nowhere else to take our bikes," said Craig, 18, of Midland Road, Stonehouse, who owns a Yamaha DTR125.
"We did have a field but that's been built on.
"It's just a field we want, it does not matter if it's hilly or flat, we just want to ride our bikes.
"We don't want to cause anyone any hassle - years ago no-one used to say anything about riding in the woods."
He said he and his friends may be prepared to pay for the use of land. Anyone who may be able to help him should call 01453 821312.
