FOREST Green Rovers have had a busy week with plenty of transfer movement and excellent results in both league and cup matches.
Nigel Spink has made changes in the personnel of his first-team squad with the signings of familiar Lawn faces Matthew Coupe and Alex Sykes but Lee Howey has left the club.
Nuneaton Borough left-sided player Sykes, who played for Rovers before, has joined in a swap deal with central defender Howey joining the Midlanders in exchange.
In his previous spell Sykes started 174 matches plus 31 as sub and scored 64 goals. He made his first appearance for the club when he came on and scored as a sub in 6-0 home win against Poole Town on March 30 1996.
Coupe has signed from League of Wales outfit Aberystwyth Town, where former Rovers boss Frank Gregan was manager until last year. Coope has been signed for an undisclosed fee.
Central defender Coupe started 49 games, plus 27 as sub, and scored two goals in his last spell at Rovers. He made his debut when he came on as a sub in the 1-1 draw away at
Dorchester Town in August 1997. Both players have signed contracts that will keep them at the club for the rest of the season and the whole of next.
