High wind, tossed pancakes

THESE youngsters were busy preparing for Lent which starts today, Wednesday when they took part in the annual pancake races at Whiteshill Playing Field on Saturday.

Despite the howling gales and driving rain there were smiles all round as they competed to finish the race while keeping their pancakes in one piece.
