AFTER just two weeks the SNJ flab fighters are well on their way to becoming the fab four after losing well over two stone between them.
Jim Robbins, a hypnotherapist from Dursley, offered to help some SNJ readers shed their weighty problem after his success story with Shelagh Hands made SNJ headlines and subsequently national news last year.
Following an introductory chat and just two sessions of hypnotherapy the four women have lost a total of 34lbs in two weeks.
An ecstatic Shirley Milsom rang the SNJ on Friday to report an even more successful second week.
"I have lost 10lbs this week and I am just so excited," she said. With ten stone to lose, Shirley had the most to lose out of the group but after losing 17lbs in two weeks, she is feeling very positive.
She said: "I have had to call everyone I know to tell them the news, it is working so well for me."
It has been a difficult week for Pat Croot who has been looking after her daughter who was unwell over half term.
Pat lost 5lbs in her first week but nothing in week two.
"I am disappointed because I haven't cheated at all," she said.
"But I am feeling very positive and seeing Jim again has provided me with an extra boost."
After a slow start, Donna Reason, who wants to lose weight for her wedding at the start of April, had an excellent week and her weight dropped by 7lbs.
"I bought my wedding dress at the weekend," said Donna. "But we are going to wait until the week before the wedding to take it in.
All four flab fighters have noticed that they have not been feeling very hungry since their hypnosis sessions.
SNJ reporter Linda Diggory dropped three and a half pounds in her second week, making a total of 5lbs altogether.
"Even when I feel hungry, I feel a lot more in control than I normally do," said Linda.
"It's a very pleasant change to feel that I am in charge of my appetite, rather than to feel it is controlling me."
Next week the SNJ will be reporting on how the flab fighters fare in their third and final week of hypnosis.
