Who's a naughty boy then?

A CAR buyer got himself a 'cheep' deal when he traded in a parrot for a Ford Mondeo.

Alfie, an 11-month-old macaw has taken up residence at an Ebley car dealers after his owner used him as a part payment on the car.

And since his arrival the air has been blue as he has already mastered words which would make a grown bird blush.

The cheeky parrot has already told one customer to leave the shop in less-than-cordial terms but luckily she did not get in a flap.

"Fortunately she saw the funny side," said Mike Davies, owner of Autodeals of Stroud.

Mr Davies took the bird as a £1,200 part exchange on the car and now says he would be sad to see him go.

"I've got a parrot at home and my sales man used to have one so we recognised his value." said Mr Davies.

"His previous owner couldn't spend enough time with him and parrots get bored very easily."

Mr Davies is now trying to shift Alfie through the pages of Trade It under the heading 'Any sensible offers considered'.
