Sir Bob sells fast

GELDOF fans managed to beat the Monday blues and get up bright and early to queue for tickets outside Stroud's Subscription Rooms this week.

Tickets went on sale for Sir Bob's Stroud gig on Monday morning and by the time the box office opened a small crowd had gathered on the Sub Rooms steps.

The concert, which is to be part of this year's fFestival in September, has been the fastest-selling event at the venue since its refurbishment.

As the News & Journal went to press yesterday three-quarters of the tickets had already gone.
