Laurie Lee's former school, where "The Infants" and "The Big Ones" once sat is up for sale.
The asking price of The School House and adjoining schoolroom in the picture postcard village of Slad is a cool £450,000.
Whoever seals the deal will be able to call home a building immortalised in the poet and author's best known book, Cider with Rosie.
A wooden partition separated two classes in the Slad National School in the 1920s when Laurie Lee was a pupil. More recently it featured in the BBC's film of Cider with Rosie.
The main school was built in 1838 and the teacher's house was added some years later.
Both the buildings were incorporated by the new owners shortly after the school closed in 1966 and it now a home with a reception hall, drawing room, dining room, study, kitchen, utility room, four bedrooms, a garden and parking space.
Jamie Dalrymple Hamilton of selling agents Jackson-Stops & Staff in Cirencester reckons inquiries will come in from far and wide.
"A property like The School House, situated in arguably one of the prettiest valleys in this part of the Cotswolds, will always be highly desirable," he said.
"The fact that it has such a close association with one of this country's most famous 20th century poets and authors, makes it of national interest."
