Crowds line shore to see the bore

THOUSANDS of onlookers crowded the banks of the River Severn on Saturday morning to watch a spectacular natural phenomenon wash by.

The five star bore, rated as one of the best of the year, did not disappoint the crowds at Stonebench near Elmore or surfers who rode the crest of the wave which headed up river.
