Lucy's on the way to singing career

BUDDING pop singer Lucy Edgeworth is to represent Gloucestershire in the national finals of a karaoke competition.

Lucy, 22, from Nailsworth won the regional finals held at Jumping Jacks in Gloucester recently when she sang Made for Loving You by Anastasia.

The former Maidenhill School pupil will walk away with £1,000 cash, a luxury holiday, a karaoke system and CD's and a day at a recording studio if she wins the final heat in Coventry on Monday.

Lucy who has won through five heats to get this far has also applied to appear on Pop Idols.

She said: "I am so excited to have got this far. I am just going to keep trying until I succeed."
