Pupils are well red

CASHES Green Primary School was seeing red on Friday when its 170 pupils dressed up to raise money for a Gloucestershire charity.

The youngsters were among 8,000 children across the county taking part in British Red Cross week.

They raised over £100 by making donations to wear red to school.

Gloucestershire Red Cross fundraiser Anne Priestley said: "They made such an effort. "One little boy was wearing red wellies, trousers and a top, another was dressed as superman and one of the girls had dyed her hair.

"It was fantastic."
