Spotlights on puppets

PUPPETEERING takes the limelight at The Space next week, when the Puppets in Space Festival returns to Stroud.

The festival opens with an exhibition of puppetry which runs from next Monday, July 15 until July 27 and includes a series of performances which start on Monday, July 22.

Puppets in Space 2002 brings together a wide range of artists, including Monju Majid from Bangladesh and multi-award winning international performer Stephen Mottram, who has also worked on films such as The Little Shop of Horrors and Tales from The Decameron.

Organiser Peter Charlton said: "After the success last year, we really wanted to include an adult show in the Festival."
