Car-jacker thwarted

A YOUNG woman was the victim of an attempted car-jacking as she drove through Randwick to work in Stroud on Monday.

The 22-year-old from was driving a red Ford Mondeo in Humphries End at 7.40am when she was forced to stop by a man in the road.

The man then attempted to grab the woman's car keys through the open driver's window and after a brief struggle, he jumped over a gate and ran into a field.

The driver was left shaken but not injured.

The man is described as white, about 30, with short dark brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans and a black or blue sweatshirt.
