Police appeal for leads to men

police in Gloucestershire are following up new leads after two BBC Crimewatch appeals for information on wanted men.

In the programme, shown on Wednesday, July 24, officers said they were keen to trace two men in connection with two robberies in the county.

They also want to talk to a third man about a series of thefts from church property in Gloucestershire and Derbyshire.

Levente Gregus (known locally as Lee),34, previously from Stonehouse, and Patrick Michael Clegg, 33, from the Coventry area are sought in connection with two robberies in the county last February and March.

In both cases homes in small rural villages in southern Gloucestershire were entered and home owners were tied up. Large quantities of property, including jewellery was taken.

The offenders then stole cars from both the addresses.

Members of the public are advised not to approach the men if they are spotted but to call the police immediately.

The man wanted in connection to thefts of cash donations from 11 churches in the county is Christopher John Coultard.

He is believed to be driving a red Mazda 626 and is known to stay at bed and breakfast accommodation as he travels around the country.

On Thursday police were following up new information following almost 20 calls in response to the appeals.

Detective Inspector Pete Hobday said: "We are pleased with the response to these appeals and officers are currently looking into new lines of enquiry."

Anyone with any information should call Stroud CID on 0845 090 1234."
