Title is secured with superb win

County League Division Five Frocester 3rd XI v Dymock

FROCESTER Cricket Club's 3rd XI secured the Gloucestershire County League Division Five title, maintaining their unbeaten record with an excellent six wicket victory over Dymock.

The visitors batted first and made a highly respectable total of 210-8. Paul Spyvee was the pick of the bowlers with a controlled spell of swing bowling, finishing with figures 4-28.

The Frocester reply was led by Mike Hair who continued his fine form throughout the season with an excellent innings of 55.

He was well supported by Tom Ellis who played some fine shots in an inning of 40.

Finally, it was the veteran Paul Spyvee who played some vintage shots to finish the match with 30 not out as Frocester completed the victory with three overs to spare.

Reg Spyvees men will now compete in County League Division Four next Season

Development Cup Final

This Sunday, Frocester play Gloucester City in the Development Cup final at The Spa, 2.00pm start.

This is the first time Frocester have reached the final of this competition, where each team must field five players under the age of 20.

All spectators are welcome and Frocester have selected the following team: E. Woodmason (Capt), C. Duval, A. Davis, A. Bray, R. Evans, A. Downey, J. Niblett, T. Ellis, B. Ellis, D.Richardson, M. McShane.
