A CAR dealer with a passion for quirky catchlines has caught the attention of top disc jockey Terry Wogan.
Gordon Spragg from Fourways Garage Eastcombe has come up with a catchy alternative to market his second hand vehicles.
His love of musicals and films inspired Gordon to dream up number of classic descriptions for the cars on his forecourt.
His melodic sales pitch includes: I lost my heart to an Isuzu Trooper, My left Fiat staring Daniel Daewoo Lewis, The Italian Job, featuring Mini Driver and the Three Omegas.
"I like to bring a bit of fun into things," said Gordon. "I use song titles to sell my cars."
Gordon sent off his words of wit by e-mail to Terry Wogan at his Wake Up with Wogan programme on Radio 2.
"To my surprise he read them out on his show," said Gordon.
And he added: "He was in fits of laughter when he read them out and since then I have been inundated with people saying they had heard the show."
The mad cap car dealer has certainly not run out of fuel as he puts his foot down on targeting his next marketing ploy.
"I have got a VW Jetta for sale at the moment so it will be a case of Carwars return of the Jetta."
Gordon is hoping the force will be with him for many years to come as he aims to a driving force in used motors.
