Vet's laptop is stolen

A TOP veterinary surgeon from Stroud is distraught after his lap-top containing vital lecturing research information was stolen from a four star hotel.

Vet, Neil Forbes owner of the Clockhouse veterinary hospital at Wallbridge was on a lecture visit to the British small animal association at the Shrigley Hall Golf and Country club when the laptop was stolen from the hotel in Macclesfield.

His computer and digital projector valued at 7,000 pounds were locked in the conference room.

"A member of staff informed me that the conference door had been forced and my equipment had gone.

"It is not the loss of the equipment that is so upsetting but the fact that it contains vital information needed for forthcoming lecturers in Amsterdam, Libson and the United Kingdom and this has now left me with no material," he said.

"It would take me a month of full time work to recover this work and I just haven't got that time available."

The SNJ contacted Shrigley Hall Hotel on Tuesday afternoon but operations manager Mr Durosomo, who was on duty when the laptop went missing was unavailable for comment.

Mr Forbes has written to the hotel to express his disappointment at the incident.
