RICH Hall, grouchy, deadpan, comic master of absurdist irony, brings his greatest creation - Otis Lee Crenshaw, a redneck jailbird singer from Tennessee, who has been married seven times, always to women named Brenda -to Cheltenham next week.
Otis writes bourbon-soaked, Tom Waitsian tunes and blends this with banter, to produce a fusion of music and comedy.
Since 1998, Otis Lee Crenshaw has been charming audiences each year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with such classic songs as Women Call It Stalking (It's Just Selective Walking) and his sensitive masterpiece He Almost Looks Like You - a ballad about prison rape.
Fresh from a triumphant run Off Broadway and another complete sell-out at the Edinburgh Festival 2002, Otis Lee Crenshaw (aka Rich Hall) hits the road again for an extensive UK tour due to popular demand.
The 'poet-laureate of trailer trash' comes to Cheltenham's Town Hall on Tuesday, March 18 at 8pm. Book now to avoid disappointment.
