Make tracks to the Rope Store

NAILSWORTH'S Rope Store Studio Gallery opens its latest exhibition, Making Tracks, this weekend.

The exhibition is a five-hander, featuring new ceramic work by Stroud-based artist Anne James, carved wooden bowls by Laura Ponting, woven panels and cloth by Marianne Kemp, Amanda Wallwork's paintings and collage and reclaimed-metal sculptures by Stroud artist Alison Cockroft.

Anne James has received nationwide recognition for her ceramics, which are inspired by textile influences from around the world. She will give a talk on her work at the gallery on April 11. Tickets, at £5, are available from the gallery.

The show opens on Sunday, March 30 at 2pm and continues until April 20. The Rope Store Studio Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm.
