Cat shot in the leg

THE owner of a cat shot in the leg by an air gun has branded the culprits 'inhuman.'

Mrs Jenny Russell from Bunting Way, Forest Green found her cat Toffee limping in pain on Friday.

Vets removed two small pellet's from the animals back leg and now Toffee is convalescing at home.

Sgt Mike Yhnell of Stroud police said: "We view use of an air weapon very seriously indeed.

"It is a fire arm offence and one we take seriously. We are appalled at any type of animal cruelty."
