A FLAG flying outside The Bell Hotel in STroud has raised a few eyebrows around town.
Some readers have identified it as the national flag of Iraq. Could it be Saddam's last refuge?
Hotel owner Luciano Magalotti said he believed the flag was Iranian.
"Anyway it's just a flag. I'm not into politics. I'm into the hotel and hospitality industry, everyone is welcome," he said.
The SNJ checked out the Iranian flag, (bottom right) against the Iraqi flag (top right).
The Arabic script, which translates "God is Great", was added during the Gulf War in 1991.
