Balloon holds a secret

IT might have sounded like a load of hot air when street entertainer Airhead de Bruce told the crowd he was going to climb into a balloon and re-appear as Elvis.

But that's exactly what happened during the spectacular show outside Stroud's Subscription Rooms on Saturday.

Sponsored by Stroud Town Council, Airhead de Bruce is one of many acts booked to provide entertainment in the town and support local artists.

An Australian by birth, the mild-mannered dad of two who now lives in Landsdown attracted a huge crowd during the half hour show.

"I was a bit nervous as I had told so many people I would be there and they all turned out to see me so I didn't want to let them down," he said.

The entertainer performs magic shows, walkabouts, close up magic and specialises in giant balloon modelling.
