Beautiful setting for centenary

A CHARITY concert marking the centenary of the death of composer Dvorak is to be held in Cirencester's beautiful parish church. The concert, featuring The English Singers, will be held this Saturday, October 23 to raise funds for children's charity the St James's Place Foundation. The English Singers, conducted by Tim Horton from the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London, will perform great anthems from Dvorak and the English composer Purcell. The event is being organised by Cirencester-based wealth management group St James's Place to raise funds for its Foundation. The focus of the Foundation's efforts is towards children and young people who have special needs, as well as the hospice movement. Tickets for the concert are available from St James's Place reception in Dollar Street as well as the Cirencester Tourist Information Centre, Harry Hare's, The Corner Stone and Keith's.
