Time to get this party started

DOREEN Doreen, "the ultimate Christmas Party band", are to swing their pants around the Subscription Rooms in Stroud this weekend.

The band perform a gloriously camp brew of cover versions including ABBA, Queen, T Rex, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Britiney Spears, and Tom Jones.

"This hugely talented band will get you into the Christmas spirit from the very first note," said promoter Sue Torres. "This night will be fantastic whether you are single, in couples, small groups or with the entire workforce on your annual Christmas 'do'! Get ready to party!"

The band proved this by closing this year's fringe Festival to rapturous applause,and their return is likely to be eagerly anticipated.

The show takes place on Saturday, December 4 at 8pm. Tickets available from Stroud Tourist Information.
