Invitation to join duet

LOCAL theatre company Hexagon return with their new production of Duet For One in Minchinhampton this week.

Duet For One, by Tom Kempinski, is an emotional and powerful play about a brilliant violinist who, confined to a wheelchair, has to confront the possibility that she may never be able to play music again.

Her battle with her psychiatrist goes six rounds in this sometimes comic, sometimes heart-breakingly sad play.

"The play has clear parallells with the life of Jaqueline du Pre, though it's not actually about her life," said Hexagon representative Alan Lord.

Duet for One, starring Katy Albiston and Martin Stockwell, will be showing at the Minchinhampton Market Hall on December 9, 10 and 11. Tickets, at £6 or £4 concessions, are available from Stroud tourist information or Happy Shopper in Minchinhampton.
