Touch of class comes to theatre

THE EVERYMAN theatre is bringing a touch of class, and some true love to Cheltenham this week with Cole Porter's classic musical High Society.

In a perfect Valentines Day show, audiences are to be whisked away to the society wedding of the year. Tracy Lord is ecstatic about her impending marriage to George Kittredge; a successful industrialist. The flowers have arrived, the champagne is on ice and the guests are assembling.

But her preparations are somewhat hindered by the appearance of her ex-husband and some celebrity journalists digging for dirt.

High Society stars one of Britain's best loved actresses, Liza Goddard, and is based on the classic film starring Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. It has been nominated for two Olivier Awards, including Outstanding Musical Production.

The show runs from from Monday, February 14 to Saturday, February 19 at 7.45pm. Tickets are available from the box office.
