Jilly's stamp of approval for royal wedding

THE NEWS of Charles and Camilla's decision to wed has thrilled best-selling Bisley author Jilly Cooper, a good friend of the bride-to-be.

"I think it's wonderful - I'm thrilled, thrilled, thrilled, thrilled, thrilled!" "It is lovely, so exciting," she said.

"I think the timing is just right - if they had done it earlier people would have said it was too soon but now I think people are prepared to accept it.

"I just want them to have a wonderful life - I think they are made for one another and they will be a perfect couple.

Jilly said she had met the Prince a number of times but was on much closer terms with Mrs Parker-Bowles.

"She is a very very lovely human being - which most people don't realise because she has been so good at never giving interviews or commenting in public," said Jilly.

"If people knew what a warm and amusing lady she is they would warm to her. I hope that now she is going to marry Charles she will start to give a few interviews so people can see what she is really like."
