Hard man to gently entertain clubbers

WEST Country girls can meet an East End boy this weekend as Stroud nightclub Uptown Downtown plays host to returning Eastenders hardman Steve McFadden.

Revellers at the Merrywalks club will be able to meet the burly soap star, who achieved national fame as 'Enders thug-in-chief Phil Mitchell, during a special appearance on Friday, April 22.

Steve, who explosively returns to the BBC soap this week, will be on hand to answer questions and sign autographs from adoring Albert Square fans.

Club owner Helen Griffiths said: "They will be able to meet the guy, talk to him and get some autographs.

"I imagine the people in Stroud will warm to him. They have seen him on TV for years and years and now they will finally be able to meet him.

"He is always popular, especially with the ladies - and he signs autographs like no tomorrow."

There will also be a magician on hand to entertain the queues.

Entry is strictly for over 18s only. Smart casual dress, smart jeans and trainers ok. For more information call 01453 753658.
