Films go on show

RESPONDING to the needs of local film and video artists, Trial Pit Cinema, premiering at Stroud's Subscription Rooms next week, is a new Stroud Valleys Artspace initiative - organised by Stroud video artist Beth Szczepura - that hopes to give frustrated film-makers a much needed outlet.

"We aim to expose fresh new talent in a chilled-out, laid-back caf environment on a monthly basis," said Beth.

"This month's event will be screening work by several local video artists, including Tom Renshaw, Max Hart and Barney Heywood."

Anyone interested in having their work screened at this event, or at future events, should contact Beth on 07947 566117.

Trial Pit Cinema takes place in the Subscription Rooms' caf on Thursday, April 28 between 8pm and 11pm.

Entry is £2.50 on the door and numbers are limited. The bar is open until 11pm.
