Double bill of comedy

COMEDY night returns to The Duke of York, the pub neither halfway up nor halfway down Nelson Street, Stroud this week, with a double bill of hilarity in the shape of Mickey D and Steve N Allen.

Aged only 24, Mickey D has performed his warm, cheeky and energetic brand of comedy at an international array of festivals and now tours the world, having stormed the National finals of Australia's premier comedy competition in 1998.

Steve N Allen has worked in comedy since 1997, as a writer of topical comedy for several radio shows, including Chris Tarrant.

The last official RAJAR figures showed that Steve's work reaches a weekday audience of over 20 million people.

After success in writing, Steve broke into stand-up in early 2002 and since then has become a regular performer across London and the South East, including gigs at The Chuckle Club, Downstairs At The King's Head and the Comedy Caf.

Comedy night at the Duke returns on Wednesday, May 4 at 7pm. Tickets are £5 on the door.
