Artist's work comes in all shapes and sizes

NAILSWORTH based artist Anthony Hodge is currently displaying paintings in a new style in All Shapes & Sizes, an exhibition at The Warehouse, Old Market, Nailsworth that is a collaboration with Mary Rose Young.

"I'm particularly pleased with the way the new paintings balance and compliment the pottery," said Anthony.

"I spent several days working alongside Mary Rose Young and my work is an excited response to the experience.

"It's all about the collaboration - her work has helped me move on to what I feel may be my immature style - I don't need to be a great artist, agonising over every daub; I just want to enjoy the process of painting."

Mary Rose Young lives in the Forest of Dean and has a thriving business selling her work all over the world.

The work on display in Nailsworth includes vases, platters and domestic ware, including very jolly eggcups with legs and shoes.

All Shapes & Sizes runs until Saturday, May 21 and is open from Wednesday to Saturday between 11am and 5pm. Entry is free.
