Joint musical offering for Mill

THE Rosetta Ensemble will be performing works by Piazzolla, Dvork, Julian Rowlands and Ravel in a concert at Ruskin Mill in Nailsworth next weekend.

The Rosetta Trio, with Craig Pecherek on violin, Lisanne Melchior on viola and Keith Tempest on cello, work together regularly throughout the South West and bring vitality to performances of works old and new.

This evening the three are joined by violinist Ros Stephen and accordionist Pete Rosser - both from Tango Siempre - in a joint offering of music for string quartet and quintet.

The concert will open and close with pieces written for string quartet and accordion; Three Klezmer Sketches by Bristol-based composer Julian Rowlands and Five Tango Sensations by Astor Piazzolla.

Also featured in this performance is the Ravel string quartet and two waltzes by Dvork. Both pieces demonstrate the versatility and emotional range of the string quartet.

The concert takes place at Ruskin Mill on Friday, June 10 at 8pm. Tickets are available on 01453 837537.
