Gardeners toil in soil for the open Sunday

A BLOOMING marvellous day out is promised by gardeners at Bisley who have been working flat out for the past few months to get everything in tip top condition for the village Open Gardens event on Sunday, June 12.

A stunning collection of gardens will be on display from 2pm - 6pm to raise money for the Gloucestershire branch of the British Red Cross.

An entrance charge of £3.50 entitles visitors to look around all the gardens in the scheme and a map will be provided.

There will be teas at the village hall with music provided by Wotton-under-Edge Silver Band as well as craft stalls and specialist plant stalls.

The event raised £2,000 in 2004 and organisers are hoping that figure will blossom this year.
