FOR the second consecutive year Frocester have reached the regional final of the National Club Knockout after they beat Swansea by 68 runs.
After the early dismissal of Ed Bressington, Nick Trainor (23) and Iain Collins (28) carefully constructed a 45 run partnership.
However, both fell in quick succession and it was left to Steve Pope and Adam Robson, who both scored 44, to set a defendable target of 167-8.
Frocester's spearhead of Ben Gannon and Ali Bressington was too much for the Swansea batsmen.Trainor held two superb catches at slip, reducing Swansea to 18 for two.
Jamie Rendall and Eric Woodmason then took over the attack, with the former capturing a wicket in each of his first two overs. Woodmason then got in on the act as he captured three wickets in three overs and Rendall picked his third wicket in his last over.
Swansea collapsed to 49 for seven with Woodmason finishing with 3-17 and Rendall with 3-18.
Ed Bressington then bowled the final batsman as Swansea were bowled out for 99 .
Frocester will travel to Bath in the regional final on Sunday, June 26.
