Saturday is a sun day

THE sun sizzled as crowds flocked to Rodborough fete on Saturday.

Hundreds enjoyed traditional fun and games on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far.

Organisers chose wellies, brollies and beach gear as their theme just in case the clouds burst.

But as tempratures soared, it soon became clear there would be no need to hunt out the waterproofs.

Proceeds will go to local schools.
