Little horns play ModAid

THE LITTLE Big Horns, otherwise known as Stroud saxophonist Patsy Gamble and trumpeter Steve Trigg, have just contributed to a big name single released to raise money for the Band Aid 20 charity and the Tsunami Earthquake appeal under the moniker ModAid.

The Little Big Horns have previously contributed to Mick Jagger's most recent solo album.

The recording session was held over a weekend in London and featured musicians who have been connected with the mod/soul scene either now or in the past.

The CD single has now been released and contains four new tracks; versions of the Small Faces "What'cha Gonna Do About It", "Afterglow", an acoustic version of "What'cha" by chart star Mark Joseph and a promotional video, shot over the weekend of the recordings.

The single, produced by Ian Page of Secret Affair, features Ronnie Wood, (The Rolling Stones/The Faces), Steve Craddock (Ocean Colour Scene), Mark Joseph (Warner Bros Records), Reg Presley (The Troggs), Chris Farlowe, P.P. Arnold, Molly Marriott (Steve Marriott's daughter), Jimmy Winston (Small Faces) and Emma Winston (Jimmy Winston's daughter) as well as a host of other musicians.

"One of the most poignant moments of the weekend was when Steve Marriott's daughter, Mollie, sang a stunning vocal of her Dad's song "Afterglow" in front of P.P. Arnold - the woman he wrote it for - on what would have been Steve's 58th Birthday," said Steve Trigg.

All resulting profits will be donated equally to the Tsunami Earthquake Appeal and the Band Aid Charity. Copies of the single can be ordered from www.biffbangpow.org.uk
