MOST people are happy to park the family car on the driveway but mechanic Pete Henden's pride and joy is a vintage combine harvester and he can't resist showing it off to the neighbours.
The blue Lely Victory harvester turned heads in Park Road, Stonehouse recently when Pete, 50, parked up outside his house before taking it to the North Nibley Steam Rally.
"I have always wanted a combine," he told the SNJ. "It certainly got a bit of attention.
"I have very understanding neighbours - they must think I am a bit eccentric to say the least.
"I wanted something different and I have got that alright. It's not often you see a combine on a council estate."
After starring at the Nibley show, the crop-gathering beast was taken to a more spacious berth at a nearby farm until its next appearance.
