Week was'amazing'

MIXING with the rich and famous is not usually on the cards during work experience, but for 15 year-old film fanatic Natasha Roche, that was all in a weeks work at the Pinewood studios in London.

The Year 10 Maidenhill Pupil, whose ultimate ambition is to be a director, said that her week at the film studio has made her more determined.

She said: "One thing that was really good was walking onto the underwater stage where they were filming a movie - it was really amazing though just to see what was going on."

Throughout the week Natasha, who lives in Bridgend, saw the band Magic Numbers making their new video and the final touches being put on the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory film.

Despite seeing big movie stars and blockbusters being shot, Natasha is not allowed to say exactly what she saw, because security at the studios is so tight.

Natasha is already an amateur film producer, making short movies with her camcorder.

The latest tells the story of a boy who turns into a vampire, and it stars her friends.

She said: "My favourite films are action films - like Daredevil - that keep you on the edge of your seat. I would love to make films like that."

Natasha also enjoys watching films with a serious attentiveness. She said: "I love watching films but tend to notice things that my friends and family don't, because I look far more into them."
